Tampa Bay Reforestation and Environmental Effort

Close to a quarter of a Century ago, four idealistic people had a vision for transforming Tampa Bay's urban forest They also had a passion for planting trees to accomplish this goal. At the urging of a supportive landscape architect with the City of Tampa, this close knit quartet founded the Tampa Bay Reforestation and Environmental Effort, Inc. in 1983. Little did they know then that over the next two decades their creation would result in the planting of nearly 44,000 trees in 250 volunteer planting projects.
