Volunteers from Keep Hillsborough County Beautiful, Inc., the Tampa Bay Derby Darlins, the Friends of Temple Terrace Parks and Recreation, the Temple Terrace Garden Club, Esurance, TREE Inc., and city residents planted a total of 114 native trees at the stormwater pond facility located at the northeast corner of Bullard Parkway and 78th Street in Temple Terrace, Florida.

The event started at 10:00 A.M. and ended around 11:30 A.M. Trees ranged in size from 3' tall 3-gallon specimens to 12' tall 35-gallon specimens and included West Central Florida Eco-Type American Elm (Ulmus americana var. "floridana"), Baldcypress (Taxodium distichum), Pondcypress (Taxodium ascendens), Longleaf Pine (Pinus palustris) and Red Maple (Acer rubrum).

The 35-gallon Baldypress and Pondcypress, as well as 7-gallon Red Maple were donated by Quality First, Inc. nursery of Seffner, Florida, who also donated a mechanical auger and labor for the event. The remaining plants were made possible through the generous funding of Esurance, the on-line insurance company), this being TREE Inc.'s eighth and most successful Esurance project since 2005.
